Savage Beauty – still exceptional

Last week I was lucky enough to get some last minute tickets to see Savage Beauty. A show that is so well publicised and so loved often struggles to live up to expectations, but of course, this was McQueen, and it was every bit as good as everyone said it was. Susie, owner of Palmer Productions, previously spoke about the show, and I was so very excited to see inside last week.

From the painstakingly matched tartan to obsessive bead work, the shape shifting pattern cutting to the giant show stopping shoes, the Savage Beauty show is an exercise in exceptional fashion design. We all know that Lee McQueen was in a class of his own for innovation, but seeing everything in one place is a truly emotional experience.

We didn’t take any pictures in the show in keeping with the museums wishes, so this selection of images is taken from Vogue.coms first look. A deep vein of love for London runs through the show, and it only makes us look forward to next months Fashion Week all the more!
